I have 2 16 gauge guns, I reload that gauge, you can find shells but they are not on the cheap side, my question is why a bolt action gun?, not to good for much. there are plenty of low cost pumps or over and unders to choose from.

Because it’s cheap and oddball things appeal to me.

So unless it’s a better deal, there’s not much value going for it. Got it.

What's the planned use for the gun?

I hear you, I have a Mossberg 20 gauge bolt action just because, Was my first shotgun, and my son loved the **** out of it, He actually used it for some trap shooting, I will never part with it!!! 16 gauge is a fun gauge to shoot!

I have a .410 Mossberg bolt gun - it was $99 years ago.
I love it, and if I had known better I would have loaded up on the cheapo old guns when I was younger.
Nothing wrong with the 16 gauge, especially considering it’s not like you’ll be emptying cases of shells with it.

I say for 190 you can't go wrong, you can still find 16 gauge ammo pretty cheap online you just have to have it shipped to an ffl.
