    Winchester 1300 Defender

Today I popped into a local pawn shop and saw one sitting on the rack. I handled it and it felt pretty solid, looks to be in like new condition. Owner was asking $400 plus tax and dros. I offered $350 otd he came back at $400 plus tax no dros fee. I went up to $375 otd and walked, now thinking about it I wouldn't mind going back next time to $400 otd on it. It has a bead sight and of course magazine extension. Did a little reading and one complaint is that the plastic magazine throat near the tube is fragile and prone to breaking? What is the consensus on them?

I have a old 1300 defenser, one of the tangs that holds the lifter frequently bends after a few 100 shells. Usually i have to bend it back into place. I paid 200$ for mine, and see them going sub 300$. There are alot better options as far as defense shotguns for 400$

I have a rem 870 police magnum police trade in that is a sweet shotgun. I just want something else a little different. I had a Ria m5 shotgun and that I sold after 5 rounds, I didn't like the fixed barrel and a benelli nova tactical that was an impulse buy never shot it. I liked the flush barrel and extended tube of the Winchester and that wood stock/pump.

I have a 1300 defender. It's one of the newer models with polymer furniture. I've never actually fired it though. I've had it for a long time.

It’s a decent gun. Kicks like a mule for some reason.

Same boat here, except folding stock over the top. Haven't shot a shotgun in a while for some reason.

I've got a `90s model w/ wood furniture. The recoil really helps the pump action and makes mine feel almost like a semi-auto.

I own a Winchester 1300 with a figured walnut stock. It is an amazing piece of engineering. Slick action and, as said above, almost feels like a semi auto. I will never need another shotgun.

Found it in a pawn shop for $125. But, that was about six years ago.
