This link covers the CA Dangerous Weapons Permit that is required prior to the ATF approving a Form 1/4 for anything other than C&R SBR/SBS's and AOW's (and those are still subject to the AW regs). This permit is virtually unobtainable for mere mortals.

Tony Rumore does make slick Saiga-12 SBS's

Here's another non-SBS Saiga-12 for those that like "wood" furniture

DOJ will only issue the SBR/SBS permit for business purposes. You have to be doing business with LE, Govt or the movie industry before they'll issue one.

If you are serious about getting into NFA in CA, check out ke6guj's post:

Also, here's a great example of Calguns taking on DOJ regarding the whole "Dangerous Weapons Permit" thing:

Isn't Tony Rushmore the guy on the far left side of the mountain of the same name?

                ...hmm...maybe not.

One of my favorite movie guns is the shotgun from "showtime".

If you wanted a short S12; You might be able to get a AOW built (no stock).
I'm not to sure about the whole process but there were USA made receivers for the S12.
Then you would need a donor S12 for parts and a FFL that can build AOWs.
2024 New Year?s resolution will be no posting..

If you go to the Saiga-12 forums you find more about Tony. Both him and his buddy Bob Ash are ex-kali. They both moved to Oklahoma to flee the oppressive laws of the peoples republic of Kalifornia. Tony also currently offer a limited edition Tromix surfboard made by a buddy of his from Oceanside.

Good luck trying to get your SBR with the MD Arms drum approved for Kali. Your chances are about as good as winning the lottery.
