Re Digweed at 130 yards, he did it so it's obviously doable. I have a cousin who regularly shoots for money with a group in Alpine, east of San Diego. They call it pot shooting because everyone throws some cash into the pot and they keep shooting clays at longer and longer ranges until everybody misses. Last guy to break one wins the pot. Reports are that they get out to 110-120 yards sometimes. Cousin shoots a Beretta 682, now with a top single barrel at 34" (I think). His shells are hand loads of #6 lead at 1700fps. The Beretta has been rebuilt a couple of times. There also used to be pot shooting around El Centro, probably still is.
