Need advice on a Saiga-12 mag lock

I'm looking to pick up a Saiga-12, but live in Kalifornia, so I will need to convince whoever I buy it from to install a bullet button or mag lock on it before I have it shipped to my Sacramento FFL. I have been getting zero cooperation from out of state sellers, and need some advice on how I can get this done.

I'm thinking that if I can find a mag lock and buy and ship it to somebody with a Saiga-12 who is willing to install it, I will be there. BUT, how do I make sure that I'm buying the right kind of mag lock or bullet button, and that the installation will be simple enough to get an out of state merchant to put the two together for me? Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Yep, +1 on Henderson. They did the Saiga-12 maglock install for me. Alohariver is too busy to be bothered - don't know about Freakshow.

ban death cars! they are designed to cause accidents that kill as many people as possible.

That is not correct. A semi-auto shotgun with detachable magazine MUST have a maglock. "Evil Features" don't matter - ANY semi-auto shotgun with detachable magazine MUST have a maglock.

I'm pretty sure it needs a mag lock to come into cali, because its a semi auto with detachable mag. I could be wrong but i haven't seen one with out one yet.

definately wrong here. A semi auto shotgun with a detachable magazine is considered an assault weapon in california. It cannot come into cali without a magazine lock of some sort.

its considered a shotgun not a rifle...........so it does need a bb to get into california

Here's one possibility. Southern Michigan Arms claims to do California transfers for only $10 + actual shipping! They also say they will add Cali-compliant parts to make it legal before shipping it off. I've never used them, but a fellow Calgunner has recommended them. Give it a shot!

Purchase the Saiga 12 from peach state guns (they're on gun broker), have them ship it to henderson and have henderson ship it to Ryan at jk supply. Though henderson has wait times, I would talk with Andrew and see if you can get on a waiting list or something. Good luck, the saiga is a freaking beast.
