    Beretta A400 Extreme

I was waterfowl hunting today and shooting 3.5" loads. The trigger pin was getting pushed out and finally the endcap blew off! I just had cleaned it real good about a week ago so I don't think it was anything with the gas tube.

Anyone else have issues with this shotgun?

IB someone says you should have gotten an A300.

Ouf; Hopefully not something typical. I'd like to get into waterfowl hunting & the A400 (non-3.5") is at the top of my list.

A300 doesn't have the springs to make 3.5" feel like a .22lr so I'd rather buy an A400 ever season if I have to

I got the new endcap from Beretta for $38 plus $26 2 day shipping and it seems to have fixed the problem. Will know tomorrow if it blows up, I guess

Twice in the last 60 days, after disassembly and cleaning, I have gone to shoot the shotgun and found the trigger inoperable. Removal of the trigger group revealed the trigger pin missing fortunately I have been able to find the pin on the floor in the area that I cleaned the trigger group...

                    Which trigger pin?
Parts here are specific to the Beretta A400 series of shotguns which includes the Xplor Action, Xplor Light, Xplor Unico, Xplor Novator, Xtreme Plus, Xtreme Unico, Xcel Sporting, Xcel Multitarget, Xcel Parallel Target, Upland, Lite Compact, Lite Synthetic and Ultralite models unless otherwise noted. MGW carries replacement forends, stocks, choke tubes, barrels, sights, recoil pads, trigger groups, pins and other parts for these models. Keep your semi-auto Beretta A400 firing like new with aftermarket components and OEM replacement parts.

End cap blew off? Did you screw it on and tighten it?

I constantly check two things while hunting (shotgun is unloaded and action open) - end cap and choke tube. I put a little anti seize lube on both.

Check out the clear finger nail polish idea from the link I posted above.

Can you post some pictures of the broken end cap? Would like to see what got damaged. Thanks.
