Knoxx Specops Stock and Forend Install Help

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone could help me install the Specops kit on my Remington 870 12 gauge?

For your trouble, you can have my factory wood stock and forend... they are both brand new.

I am located in Glendale, CA.

    Thanks!

It's not that hard. What kind of help do you need? I have one installed and took me all of 10 minutes.

It should ship with the tool. Installing it is pretty easy.

My 1300 Defender Specops didn't because I bought it used, but the screw uses a 1/4" allen head. I don't have an 870, so others can chime in on what works, but here's what I did.

Download and read the manual from here:

            - Remove the 1300 buttpad by removing 2 phillips-head screws
            - Remove the 1300 stock with a 1/2" socket on an 8" extension (may be different for 870 - should be in the 870 manual)
            - Remove the Specops adjustable stock piece by lifting up on the adjustment lever and sliding it off.
            - Install Specops with a 1/4" L allen wrench. The L wrench kept it from turning full circle, so it was a little slower. It ships with a ball driver, which is easier to use.
            - Tighten until the gap is closed between the stock and receiver. On mine, the stock was slightly lower than the receiver, but there was no gap. It took a good bit of tightening. If you use a ball driver, don't break off the ball, or you'll be sorry! If you use a non-ball driver, no problem.
            - Replace adjustable stock piece.

If you can install it for me, you can have my factory wood stock and forend... they are both brand new.

I am located in Glendale and am willing to drive a little bit...

Thanks vipspiffy for helping me install the forend.

I am having trouble removing the single screw in the middle holding the stock in place, it is on super tight and I already tried spraying it with wd40. Any ideas?

                    Thanks guys!
