I know, right!? A ton of people would. The only reason I can think of that they haven't done this is because they think by not doing it, it will force people to buy another one of their shotguns. Who knows, maybe they're right.

I’d buy one of their damn shotguns if it could pull double duty. I’ve never fired my HD shotgun in self defense so I appreciate when it can pull hunting duty. My 300$ 870 covers both field and home with a simple barrel swap so I really can’t justify plopping down 2G’s on a HD shotgun that will be left out of the safe, next to the bed.

I have several Benelli shotguns that fit that bill, just not in the $300 range.

I bought a cheap M1S90 some time ago with a 18" barrel. I ended up buying a 21" M2 barrel for it, and just modifying the forend to fit. I've use the same shotgun for turkey, plinking, and HD. My M4 will also go turkey hunting with the proper choke tubes, assuming it patterns about the same as my SBEII. I only want to use it because I have an RMR on that and want to see if there's any real benefit. I have also taken my M1S90 duck hunting because I wanted to try a shorter barrel in the blind, worked like a charm for closer/low flying ducks but did not have the nerve to try further birds due to the 21" barrel without patterning at distance.

All of my shotguns have busted clays, even the KSG (with some serious effort). I have shot a 22/25 with the M1 and won me $50. That was cycling Walmart el cheapo shells, with zero issue.

what would be the point of a longer barrel? you wont be able to hunt with it right because it holds too many shells?

i have an m4 and cant think how it could be better unless they were to somehow magically make it lighter. the m4 is a beast of a shotty.

I hunt with mine, I made a magazine plug out of a plastic coathanger. With the plug in place, it only takes 2+1 shells. Installed a turkey choke, and it's good to go! If only I could find some turkeys to shoot with it.

i see, i didnt know you could do that. i would think fish and game wouldnt allow it since you can easily remove the plug and get your capacity back.

just dont tell my wife that i didnt need to get the SBE3 to hunt.

Would an Aimpoint t2 be a good red dot for the benelli M4? What red dot would you recommend?

Iam planning to put the hayl rail by strike industries on it so I can put a surefire scout light on it. Would it be weird to put an angled forgrip on it?

Thankfully DFW and DOJ are totally independent agencies, otherwise we'd for sure have to pin and weld the plug into place, and submit photos of having done so

How important is cowitness? Because now you have three things that your eye has to reconcile; front and rear sights and the red dot. Would it be better to do the lower one third?

actually, i have my eotech set higher so that i have no other posts in the window.

the m4 ghost sites are very low and with the mesa tactical stock, it elevates your eye level. i have mine at the highest setting. i can hit steel at 100 meters with slugs very easily.

Sounds like you are having similar thoughts about it as I did. I put a trijicon RMR on mine, with a scalarworks rail/mount. It cowitnesses with the factory ghost ring sights. I love that setup.

I have a surefire M80 handguard on mine, which they don't make anymore but I think other companies make something similar. I put a Magpul AFG on it, and I love that too.
