Looks like the 65 is thicker up top and pushes the stock down more?

Cast the same on both shims?

I removed the clip on front sight. When the clays were going straight out, the large hi-viz sight got in the way and made my eye refocus. Also put the drop/cast shim at 50, hoping it spreads out the pressure on my cheek. Used the 1” and 1/2” spacer with stock recoil pad. Slipped on a Limbsaver recoil pad for more LOP. I usually don’t need this while duck hunting but may need it with just a t-shirt on.

Plan is to pattern shotgun and make sure it’s shooting where I’m pointing and then go shoot some clays. I know not to point the shotgun when shooting clays/flying birds

There's two shims, one up front, and one in back. The orientation has to match.

Most right handed shooters use this set up, it has the most drop, and the most cast.

If you're sore after shooting an A300, you're not mounting it properly, those things are kitten soft.

        Where to you live?

Thanks. I have them both at 65-DX. I wonder if I didn’t have them matching?

Got 1” and 1/2” spacer with stock recoil pad on.

Front sight off. I think that was messing me up.

Back to shooting more clays after seeing what my choke is doing with the ammo I’m shooting.

            Sac area.

Something was off - I’ve never had that happen before.

              Bad gun mount/stance.

Sore back from disco dancing last night?

Not sure if this will help much.....I have the 1” spacer & 20mm/.79” Micro Core pad (pretty close to stock) on mine. Fit’s me well and shoots pretty soft. Shims are still set up as it came out of the box. I think YSR is right. A while back, I did replace the bead with a small fiber sight. I no longer notice the sight, unless I’m looking for it. I also call for the bird, prior to mounting the gun. I can measure the drop, if you want. Shoot some 5-stand or Sporting Clays, to get away from the 1 shell at a time rule. More fun anyway!
