Looking to get educated re shotgun ammo

New to shotguns. Mainly trap and some skeet shooting using a 20 ga semiauto Bennell
Is this a good deal for decent range ammo? TIA!

Every range I've been to allows only 7.5 as the max.
For Trap 7.5 is good, for Skeet, #9 is best.
FYI: The larger the number, the smaller the shot.

PS: 1200 ~ 1250fps is all you need.

Loads for trap and skeet will mostly say target or will be light field loads. The official rules for trap and skeet tell you what the maximums are, I'm just too lazy to look it up. No I'm not....

by more than 3%. Number 7 will be acceptable as long as
velocity criteria are the same as for lead shot shells.

Oh, in that case, blast away. But #6 is a hunting load.

Cheap target ammo is available at Wal-Mart.
