    Which chokes?

I've shot Skeet a few times and have been practicing mostly sporting clays, which i like best.
I'd still consider myself Entry Level

My neighbor invited me to Triple B's in the morning for Trap.
I'd rather shoot Sporting Clays but......what the hell, as long as i'm shooting, I'm going

Which chokes should i put in my 20 ga O/U ?

modified should be good for trap with a 20 gauge!! I will be there Sunday shooting skeet with a 20 gauge.

My son shoots trap using a 20ga Remington 870 with either Improved Modified or Full. (IM for 16 yards and Full for 20+ yards)

I have been shooting trap for about 35 years now and I never shot trap using a 20ga; but for my 12ga, I use only full choke.

      YMMV.
      Best regards,

Shoot the 1st round with the mod, then move to the full. My kid shoots Trap with a full, in a 20ga.

Drink plenty of coffee, so that you don't fall asleep shooting trap.

Depending on how quick you shoot, you may need full if you are taking longer shots.

A mod choke is the right choke but a full really smokes 'em when you are on the bird.

Modified is the best all-around choke there is, it will work well for Trap in most cases.

                    16 yard singles?

If you shoot fairly quick, a modified is a good choice. If you ride the birds like a rented mule, then something tighter.

You've got an O/U. Install a mod in one and an IM or F (I don't know your choke selection) in the other barrel. See what you like.

I went today and used Mod and Full and broke a few with those.
I had fun but I could see how people get bored with it

As soon as I apply for a membership to the private club I will see about an invite to shoot some longshot skeet. It is maddening!!!!!

Yeah. Instead of doubles crossing just beyond station 8, the birds cross some 40 feet beyond. Kind of a cross between skeet and trap, but on a skeet field. They modified doubles to be on report. Just finding the second target takes a long time. Great practice for sporting clays. The club record is 21 of 25. My high is 15 of 25.
