    PSA

For those who are interested, Oak Tree now has a friday night special from 6 to 9pm. Skeet rounds are 5 bucks a round. That's a bargain. FYI.

But are their Skeet fields worth shooting?
A few years ago, after several high house birds hitting the ground before they got to the low house, I asked a worker there if they hooped the Skeet fields. His answer...What's that

They have hooped it recently. They were hitting each other. The speed is slow IMO, but it makes it past the low house.

Last time I was there one of the fields didn't even have a center stake, where would they set the hoop?

It was really fun to shoot with FecalGuns as usual.

              1. Do not start before 7pm. The sun is right in your face when shooting.
              2. They are actually working on the fence and they have put down more rocks in the field, so less dust and dirt.
              3. Their stakes look like they have been run into a few times by the quads.
              4. They do seems to fly slower than tripble b's.
              5. Highly doubt they have hooped anything there.
              6. They are fixing the exterior, so I hope that means they are going to fix the stakes and throwers.

If they are flying slower, they won't make he distance stake if they go through the hoop. If they are properly set up, they will go through the hoop and land within 3' of the distance stake. If they are slow and go through the hoop they will land short of the distance stake, not a proper set up.

That would be nice, they used to be a nice place to shoot. Last time I was there the Sporting Clays range was much better than it had been in years. I truly hope they are on the way back up.

Although I do miss the airline - they had great deals flying to San Francisco.
When I was young and poor, I used to catch the midnight mail flight from LAX to SFO, $10. What a deal!
