    FN P12

Hi, I recently purchased this P12, and I'm on the market to look for side saddle, extension tube and flashlight mount. Does anyone own this mod? I did a research and some forums said the Winchester 1200/1300 and black shadow parts are compatible with the P12, can anyone confirm it? It's a very nice shotgun compared to the classic rem 870 and Mossberg 500 series.

From the maker of the world’s most battle-proven firearms, FN brings you its FN P-12™ shotgun. Get more FN P-12™ features here.

    Thank you

I own one. Yes accessories are few and far between.
As a side saddle. I found a good Velcro product and the tray stays on tightly.
As to the extension tube, I just learned to port load more smoothly and effiecently But I was under the impression the p12 is the Winchester sxp.

There is a mag tube light holder that is available. It clamps on , nothing special and cheap enough. Wished surefire would make a lighted forearm like the 870, But oh well.
It’s a great shotgun. Patterns well just about everything.

Thank you for the feedback. I bet that the P12 will share the same parts as the SLP, I plan to make the purchase from TacStar brand. The 1200/1300 has one pin and the location looks the same on the P12, and I'm trying to figure out what the thread size on the 1200/1300 and P12, so maybe they can be interchangeable

        Hey iArmy,

I am interested in the FN P12. I'm glad to hear that you are happy with the quality of the shotgun. How smooth is the action? Have you ever cycled the action of a Browning BPS and, if so, how does the P12 compare? Thanks.

The action is very smooth and fluid. It’s very light to rack. Almost racks itself after a shot.

How to make a pump shotgun more exciting, without going overboard on bling and tacticool nonsense? FNH has a few tricks up its sleeve with the P-12 shotgun.

I haven't tried the Browning BPS before, but the P12 is definately smooth like butter, muh better compared to my old 870 magnum, trigger is nicer too.

You're welcome. The only down side is finding accessories for it, I'm waiting for the side saddle and extension tube from TacStar, and I'll keep uou updated if the parts are good or not.

Your question about barrels is thus: 1300 barrel may fit. Problem is that the gun itself is based on the SXP combo with a 5 rd. magazine. That would be hard to find for an extra barrel. P12 barrels aren't listed in their store.

Yes, it's essentially the Winny SXP (Turkish built). The 1300 tube will fit, but will require you to dremel out the dimples in the mag tube. You might need to source a different spring (I did with the ATI 1300 extension). Keep in mind that you might lose your sling swivel. The Magpul barrel/extension/sling clamp off the Mossberg series works fine.

There doesn't appear to be a forend wrench for the SXP/P12, but you could probably use a universal or make something. Even the ATI kit doesn't come with one. I found this out when trying to retrofit a Magpul forend. I ended up leaving the OEM one on.

I have the ATI pistol grip/collapsing stock kit and side saddle FS. If you want it, PM me.
