    I own a Browning, and easily have 50,000 rounds thru it, and it doesn't look like that.

    I would take it to a gunsmith.

                        Looks like a chip. Why would they put a "finish" on the breech face?
                        I would definitely send it in for a look.
                        I'm not sure I like this mark either...

                              BTW, a coating and a finish could be construed as the same thing. My Browning and Zoli have no applied finish in that area and look perfect after many, many thousands of rounds.
                              Just wondering why Beretta would do that.
