places to shoot

So I am in the Bay Area (San Mateo) and I want to know if there are any semi-close places to just go out in the woods and do some plinking. I just want to go out with some buddies and bust up some stuff while not having go to a range. I just got a new Benelli and I wanna have some real fun. Any suggestions?

No such place.

Sunnyvale Rod & Gun (in Cupertino) is the closest place to Mtn. View, followed by Los Altos R&G (in Los Gatos). In San Mateo area there's Coyote Point.

FWIW It's illegal to shoot anywhere in San Mateo County unless it's a designated shooting range.

i dont know of any places in the bay area that'll let you "plink"
possibly try the nearest BLM owned land...
