Fixed tubular magazine on a bolt-action shotgun, pump-action shotgun, and semi-auto shotgun is subject to CA large capacity magazine laws.

Increasing the capacity to greater than 10 rounds, is manufacturing a large capacity magazine. [PC 32310(a)]
      ^Which is a felony for non-exempt persons.

Fixed tubular magazine on a lever-action shotgun is exempt from CA large capacity magazine laws. [PC 16740(c)]
^Which means it's legal for anyone to increase the capacity to greater than 10 rounds.

BUT the question is...... what if you have the Aguila 12ga Mini Shells on hand?

You can put 14 of those in a factory 8+1 870......

For tubular magazines, CA DOJ BOF measures ammunition capacity using the ammunition specified by the firearm's manufacturer.

            Example...
The Remington Model 870 Wingmaster is marked for 12Gauge 3" shells.
So, 12Gauge 3" shells are utilized when determing the ammunition capacity of that firearm's fixed tubular magazine.

Some tube extension manufactures have a 8 or 10 shot tube, but you can
add other extension to the extension for when you shoot in a free state.
May be Nordic or Taccom that have these. Check out
www.brianenos.com the 3 gun forum section, shotgun topics.

If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting
