Yes, it's like shooting a .22 or an air soft. They won't function in a semi auto, but work great in any over under.

I believe it’s a half ounce at around 1200fps. A quick general way I like to define recoil is payload times speed. So imagine those Walmart 4packs. They are 1.125oz at 1200fps. Those multiplied is an energy of 1,350. The Aguila mini shells then has an energy of 600. So you can expect an almost 60% reduction in recoil. This of course isn’t 100% accurate or scientific obviously but a nice quick general way to think about recoil.

They are fun the shoot but kind of novelty. I think the oringal intention was for the ksg. I think the ksg hold 12 in each tube.

22+ rounds in the KSG and they cycle just fine, like they were made for each other.

And Aquila says they kinda were:

I also let my son shoot the SxS with them. Way more fun for him.

I hope to try them soon. Theres an adapter for 590s so they don't feed a** over tea kettle.

              Update:

OPSol adapter works well, but the mini slugs were wildly inaccurate (see Paul Harrell review), mini buckshot is probably fine. Shot about as soft as 2 3/4" #7.5.

I doubt KSG existed when these came out. They were more for AOW's.

Aguila said they originally designed the mini-shells for double barrel shotguns.
^Less felt recoil for small framed shooters.

                    AFAIK...
Several years ago, Aguila did make some prototype pump-action shotguns that only used the mini-shells.
The receiver length ended up being smaller than the standard 12Gauge receiver, it was in between the size of a .410 receiver and 20Gauge receiver.

The project was discontinued due to lack of civilian market. They intended to import them to the USA, but due to Federal importation laws regarding shotgun capacity and length issues, they were prohibited from being imported into the USA as a Title 1 Shotgun {they were initially classified as Title 2 DD [18 USC 921(a)(4)(B)]}.

They were orginally designed for gun in South Africa called Mag 7 that was like an UZI but shot mini 12 gauge.

i have a few boxes of the old stuff it works good in my winchester 1200 yes the recoil is less than half of a low base bird shot and probably only a quarter of the recoil of a high base shell

                          Negative.

The Techno Arms MAG-7 was designed to use proprietary 12Gauge 2.36" (18.5x60mm) cartridges.

The Aguila 12Gauge 1.75" (18.5x44.5mm) mini-shells are too short to reliabile feed in the MAG-7.
