You may also have a cross dominant eye. I've heard of shooters getting a special perscrption shooting eyeglasses that have the distance set to optimize what you plan to shoot, see your eye Care professional.

There are a lot of questions that need to be answered before a solution can be put into action. Even after the questions are answered, an on-line solution is impossible. What you get on-line is an opinion at best based on who knows what.

Seek out an instructor at one of the ranges you shoot at and discuss your problem with them....they would be the best person that can help you since they have you there in person and can do an assessment on weather they can help or send you to another instructor that can.

My nephew is right handed, left eye dominate.

I gave him a lesson with an instructor for his birthday, coordinated with my brother getting him a shotgun.

Instructor had him shoot with dominate eye, left handed. He does pretty well. Since then I have met a couple people that that are right handed, but shoot shotgun left handed, because of left eye dominance.

I'm glad I had my nephew start with an instructor; my brother and I would have had him shootin right handed...

I really does seem like sound, logical advice. So does the idea of an instructor. Thanks guys.

Agree with almost all of the comments. First of all see a good eye doctor, make sure your eyes are healthy. Sometimes a left eye dominate shooter who shoots from the right side has a problem. One way to help the right eye become dominate when shooting is to place tape over the left eye lens. This has helped a lot of shooter at my club.

Same problem to some degree. Went to real eye doctor, got shooting glasses and my Franchi came with red FO...shooting is easy now...regularly hit 23 to 25 out of 25.
Wilson Protector .45, Springer 9mm Loaded, Franchi Instinct SL .12ga. and some other cool stuff for the kiddos...

See you regular doctor, and your eye doctor. Changes in vision can be caused by a lot of different things.

Wingshooting, no bead required. It's only function is to help verify your mount before calling for a bird.

Why is it that when I'm out hunting and I call for the bird, nothing happens? And if you shoot clays low gun, you eliminate the step of verifying your mount. Keep it simple, eh?
