    16 Ga. Shotgun Round Help Please...

    Thanks to all, I got the info. I needed...



    Can somebody measure the diameter of the brass portion of a normal 16 ga.
    round please. Not the larger rim itself, but the diameter of the brass portion that is about 5/8" or so long.

              I have some new hulls, some new ammo, and some fired hulls I could measure.

                  As already reported, dimensions will vary a bit between manufacturers and even different branding from the same manufacturer so, let's look at SAMMI specs.

                  Page 93 shows standard dimensions of a 2 3/4" 16g shotshell:

                  NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor
                  California DOJ Certified Fingerprint Roller
                  Ventura County approved CCW Instructor
                  Utah CCW Instructor


                  Offering low cost multi state CCW, private basic shooting and reloading classes for calgunners.
