    DP-12 cocking problem...help?

Not sure if this is the right forum, so if not, please lmk.

Having an issue with my DP-12 shotgun. Once I cock back the front handle, it should pull back both hammers simultaneously, giving me 2 shots, 1 from each barrel with one pull.
The issue is once I cock it, only the left barrel hammer gets pulled back and not both. I've taken it apart, checked all parts, cleaned them, pieced it back together but still the same problem.
Going crazy trying to figure this out...anybody have any possible ideas/solutions/tips? Or know of a reputable specialist that I could take it to? Thank you!

    Just to clear up here.
When you rack the shotgun it doesn't cock both hammers, correct?

When you pull the trigger it only fires one barrel, correct?

What happens when you pull the trigger a second time without racking the pump?
    WTB m&p 9 5?

      ><

Edited ---- I thought I read that you were expecting firing two both barrels with one pull, my apologies.

      back to your problem

Are you visually seeing only the left hammer being cocked or or is it because you can only dry fire one barrel?

You mat want to dry fire the left, tap the butt on the floor to simulate recoil and see if that engages the right barrel

I'm also a little unclear on what you're describing, OP. I don't have a DP12, but I've watched several videos on them. After you pump the shotgun, your first trigger pull should fire the right barrel only. After you fire the right barrel, and without another pump, your next trigger pull should fire the left barrel only. Then you pump in two more shells. Then you pull the trigger and the right side fires, then you pull the trigger and the left side fires. Then you pump again. I don't know what the hammer or hammers inside the gun are doing, but that's how the shotgun fires.

After some research---- never mind, seems it has mechanical triggers and recoil doesn't come into play

Once I rack it one time, it should pull back both hammers to both barrels..giving me a shot in one barrel and then a second shot in the other without having to rerack.
Every time I rack, it just pulls back on the left hammer and even if I fire and rerack for the second shot, which I shouldn’t have to do, it still doesn’t pull back the right hammer. They’re internal hammers as well. Going nuts trying to fix this

Are you sure it isn't pulling back the hammer, or is the problem that the hammer is not being caught by the sear so it becomes cocked? If the latter, then perhaps a broken or slipped sear spring, or even a broken sear.
