BPS "Prohibited" shotgun

Guys,

Im looking at picking up a shotgun at Bass Pro Shops and the version they carry is a 28" barrel, semi automatic.

I asked about the 26" version (same gun, just shorter) and they said "cant sell it, dont have it, its prohibited in CA, at our stores."

Salesman didnt have the details as of why the 26 is prohibited.

This a non-pistol grip/regular stock, 5 round capacity, 'hunting' shotgun. The only thing scary about it is that its black/evil.

Found a 26" elsewhere, out of state, and want to buy it.

How can i know that this 26" version is ok in CA? is there a "banned" long gun/shotgun list?

BPS can chose not to sell it, but it has nothing to do with CA law if 5 rounds or less.

FYI, 26 inch shotguns are not the popular choice for any of the shotgun sports, anymore.

Buy online and transfer it to your local FFL. cheaper and less BS
