Browning BPS line no longer being made? No FUD intended.

I went to the Browning website today to look up their line of BPS ("Browning Pump Shotgun") shotguns and unless my ancient computer didn't download correctly, the site says that they are no longer in production. When did that happen and does anyone know why? Specifically looking for a field grade wood furniture Invector.

A pump-action shotgun featuring rugged steel components and functions reliably in all hunting conditions.

I've seen a few Browning BPS at my LGS so they are definitely still available. Last store I went to was Target Masters in Milipitas few weeks ago

ScottB, Thanks for your posted Browning website but it still doesn't work completely for me so nothing gained-what did you find pertaining to my question?

The link shows that many are still in production.

I think the BPS is one of the only guns still offered in 10ga.

+1 for a 10ga BPS. Especially with an 18" barrel.

I typed in browning.com and went from there, opened the shotgun page, opened the BPS page and factually read on the screen, "NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION". Did this twice with the same results.
Going on what most posters here have reported Browning is still in the BPS business.
I'll find another (faster) computer and try it again as my windows 7 dial up system is rather finicky at times when it comes to loading huge websites.
Thanks all, this need not go any further.

Is this the page you're talking about?

BPS Shotguns No Longer In Production

If so, it's one of THREE pages...

Current Production... Limited Availability... Discontinued Models

Or, as the titles appear on another page...

Current Production BPS Shotguns... Limited Production BPS Shotguns... Discontinued BPS Shotguns

That's typing in "browning.com" in a Google search, clicking "Shotguns," then clicking BPS.

Or you could just buy an Ithaca M37 which is the same gun.

Browning designed these guns for Duck Hunters so your empties would end up in the boat, not in the water.

My M37 was made in 1940 and was just refurbed by Ithaca, I did the wood too and now have a brand new Ithaca M37 made in 1940 that is already well broken in. It is so slick it is criminal. I also have all the Cutts Compensator Choke Tubes and the Wrench.

It appears that only certain models will no longer be produced. I didn't read that all BPS's are adios amigos.
