    Mossberg 500 Acc. Safety Question

Yes, I know... I am going Tacticool, because it's my gun, and I want it. Going to get an M4 style pistol grip and stock for my Mossy, also going to get a heat shield for it. My question goes to the safety, I don't plan to swap it out for the Maverick 88 safety, so that is out. Is there anotehr safety I can use that I can still get to from the pistol grip? If not, I am not too worried about it, jsut wanted to know.

    Thanks.

"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet

There are a number of different sized and shaped safety knobs out there.
None that I know of can be reached from a pistol grip, but there are some big ones that shorten the reach.
For use with a pistol grip, the Rem 870 is better due to its safety location at the trigger guard.
For the Mossy, you will just have to reach up there.

^^^ Agreed. If you want an easy-to-use safety with pistol-grip, don't get the Mossberg. Trying to go that route would create an urge to not use the safety - bad move.

Not too worried about it, I can use my other hand for the safety

Already ordered my barrel heat shield and adjustable m4 stock
