I totally agree. If I drop that much (or even close to that), I'm going for a B gun (probably Beretta). I mean, using ebay GCs from Cabela's alone puts me close to that for a brand new 686 at $1600, not to mention a few other tricks to save even more.

I think I would max out at $1000 and even there I'm not ripping open my pants to get my wallet.

Two barrel sets are relatively uncommon. Unlike semis and pumps, you can't just buy extra barrels for doubles and slap 'em on and shoot (except for Krieghoff). They need to be fitted to the gun. Expect to pay a premium.

Think they all might need some fitting if bought separately if you ask me
