    Remington 870 question

I bought a new Remington 870 back in 1996 or so its magnum marked on receiver came with a 18 inch barrel and synthetic speed feed stock the one that holds a few extra rounds, haven't shot it since 96 run a few thru it as a function check.
Question will that stock add anything to the price if I sell. I checked gun broker a few times but don't find the exact set up to compare it to.

I have read of problems with the earlier speed feed stocks that they don't hold well and dump the shells out of the stock under recoil. So probably not.

I don't think it would add to the price. There are so many guns/shotguns/firearms for sale currently.

That, and used plain-jane 870's just aren't worth a lot, anyway..... Wingmasters, maybe.... 870 Magnums, a dime a dozen.

You'll be lucky to get $300 for it, regardless of the stock.

Probably I'll turn it into a motorhome gun.

The HD one I bought came with the same stock. I considered it added value. Not a lot, but some as I wanted the pistol grip for HD. I got the factory stock with it as well.

I don't know if I've ever fired it with the shells in the sock. If I did, I didn't have any issues. It has a sidesaddle too, so even if it lost a couple in the stock, it's not a catastrophic issue.

I'm actually going to use this one, lot cheaper and my motorhome has a great spot in the bedroom for it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Shotgun-Ver....c100005.m1851

Thank you very much for the reply and link, my good man.

I like the inexpensive barrel grabber. Then you can throw a beefy cable lock through the receiver's open action. Ain't nobody got time fo dat (to try and defeat it).

I think you just need to add a Motorhome.
