    Modifying Siaga 12 with Kushnapup

If someone to have a Saiga 12 with the bullet button and wanted to modify it with Kushnapup stock would it automatically make it an AW and will require registration?
What if above is done in addition to installing a Maglatch?

MagLatch is the first and only solution to make AK patterned firearms California Compliant without losing features. Starting 01-01-2000, a semi-auto shotgun that does not have a fixed magazine is an assault weapon. [PC 30515(a)(7)]

Starting 08-01-2017, semi-auto shotguns with "bullet button" style magazine locks are considered assault weapons.

It is illegal to import, make, transport, advertise for sale, transfer, or possess an assault weapon in CA. [PC 30600(a) & 30605(a)]

If you legally acquired a semi-auto shotgun with a "bullet button" style magazine lock from 2001-2016, then you are granted an exemption to possess it until 07-01-2018. [PC 30680]

If you have a semi-auto shotgun with a "bullet button" style magazine lock, then you must do one of the following before 07-01-2018:

    A. Registered assault weapon.
^Register the firearm as an assault weapon.

    B. Semi-auto shotgun with fixed magazine.
^Install a device so that the magazine is contained in the firearm & prevents the magazine from being removed without disassembling the firearm's action or permanently attach (weld/epoxy/rivet) a magazine into the firearm's magazine well.

    C. Manually operate shotgun.
^Remove the gas piston/tube and plug the gas block. This will make the firearm into a straight pull bolt-action shotgun.

    D. Disassembled parts.
^Disassemble the firearm into parts and never assemble them while in CA.

    E. Out-of-state.
^Take the firearm out-of-state, in order to store it or to transfer it through an out-of-state FFL deaer.

    F. CA FFL dealer with assault weapons permit.
^Sell the firearm to a CA FFL dealer with an assault weapons permit.

    G. Surrender.
^Surrender the firearm to law enforcement for destruction.

Unmodified, the Saiga-12 with "bullet button" magazine lock is already considered an assault weapon and requires it to be registered as an assault weapon or modified so that it is no longer considered an assault weapon before 07-01-2018.

Modifying it with the Kushnapup bullpup stock does nothing to change it's legal status because it's already considered an assault weapon.

The Kushnapup website FAQ concerning legality in CA, is outdated.
^What's posted was legal before 2017. Laws were changed in 2017 and the website does not reflect the new changes.

Thank you very much for the detailed answers.

Will the maglatch device answer the # B. to make it compliant?
