Odd 870 issue

Over several decades, I've found three mint older 870s---polished blue---two "Police" types and one Wingmaster---only one is three-inch, 2 3/4" shells are all I keep on hand---several barrels are on hand, but all three are set up with shorter HD barrels when not out for a specific purpose---all purchased used, but mint---all function 100% with any ammo I have tried---about as perfect a machine I can imagine...

Unlike today I think the older 870 police were actually a modified Wingmaster. Same part quality, materials...without the fancier finishing touches.
