    Stoeger Uplander Supreme?

So, I've been looking for a nice double barreled side-by-side 12 guage shotgun for about a week now. Most shops in the East Bay don't carry double barrled SxS shotguns and the ones that do usually only have cheap 20" "coach" versions. Anyways, I called Sportsman's Warehouse in Rocklin, and they said they have a 26" barreled Stoeger Uplander Supreme for $429. Just wondering if anybody has shot this gun, knows of any issues, quality of the Stoeger brand? I, myself, have never heard of Stoeger, but I am just getting into shotguns. I plan on using the gun for trap shooting mostly and some pheasant hunting.

Any and all information will be helpful.

    Thanks!

Stoeger is owned by Benelli FYI, so quality is very good for a somewhat entry level SxS. The uplander is nicer then the coach version by way of a nicer wood finish. I believe the uplander models also have extractors, but not ejectors.

The 26" barrel should be fine for casual trap shooting and maybe then some. The price isn't too bad either, but it can be had for a little cheaper if you look around.

    HTH.

I love my uplander... it's a great shotgun, but it kicks like a mule
