870 not locking up

I just had my Remington 870 cerakoted. The cerakote shop sends it to a local Smith for tear down and reassembly. I just picked it up today and I did not manipulate it in the shop. I got home and realized the slide does not stay locked forward after I rack it, and the action bar release control barely moves at all while I cycle it. The shop was closing as I was leaving so going back today was not an option. I am sure they will make it right when I can get it in, but I wanted to check on here to see if it is something simple I can do myself? Clearly something did not go right on reassembly.

See if you can manually pull the action bar lock down when the slide is fully forward and the hammer is still cocked. If that locks the slide, it could just be the action bar lock spring is not correctly installed.

I am not sure why they would have fooled with that just to cerakote though, unless they also cerakoted the trigger assembly? In which case they would have had to grind away the stakes on the hammer pin, which begets the question did they replace it with a new one.

If the action doesn't move forward enough it won't lock closed. Also if they coated the lock it won't stay closed because it will slip open on the cerrakote.
Look where it closes and using a very sharp knife you should be able to remove any extra cerrakote that is keeping it from locking up.
Cycling it repeatedly while watching TV might flatten it out and allow it to lockup as well.

I did have them apply the MS coating to the internals to slicken the action up, so the action was handled, I think this is where the problem lies.
