    Franchi Affinity in competition ?

I anyone running a Franchi Affinity in competition ?

They upgraded it a few months ago to the model 3 :

    Oversized bolt handle

    Oversizedbolt-release button

    Enlarged loading port

Build at Benelli - has even 2 times the name Benelli on the receiver - and uses the M2 bolt - and parts are interchangeable

I was reading a comment from Jesse Tischauser that this is how the Stoeger M3K should have been . . . .

It's not really a target gun but it should work fine for the occasional day at the range. Does that help?

I'm not an expert in 3 gun stuff. My comment was in reference to the clay target sports.

For an automatic guys are using Beretta A400 with 30 or 32 inch barrels. The sporting clay guys have moved the skeet and the trap guns a bit closer together with longer barrels than what was popular a decade ago.

Did you already tried the Beretta A400 Extreme ?

Seems to have way less recoil

It's a cheap M2, runs fine and is finished less than the Benellis made in the same room. it's lighter than the Remington Versamax .
Get a bigger F/O and a longer mag tube, GTG.

I have not shot one but if you go to a pro shotgun shop, that is the automatic that is selling. It has a number of features that makes it popular. Probably one of the better "do everything" guns. I'm old school, I shoot an old custom Browning automatic 26 inch for skeet, a Browning 425 Competition O/U for clays and a Browning BPS Trap for trap. Seriously looked at a Beretta A400 Multi-Target but I like my skeet gun and I didn't want to shoot an automatic for trap.
