    590A1 Finnish

What is with the finnishes on the 590A1's, model 51663? I have looked at two new rifles since November and decided not to purchase because the finnish was too rough. These guns were both new, tho the one in November looked like it had been dragged around the shop parking lot. The one I looked at yesterday had the ghost ring ears sticking out a hole in the side of the box, and the receiver had an area on the edge where about one-inch of the finnish was wron down to bare metal. Anyone else buy one of these and is the finnish that rough on all of them????

I purchased a 590a1 in '07 and the finish was perfect in every way, as all new firearms should be. But it didn't take much to scuff the parkerizing. Truely only a cosmetic problem for the function was ,is and always has been flawless. See if you can talk them down in price, or wait for one that isn't all UPS'ed or a display model.

In 2007 they switched from parked to a matte blue finish.

UPS'ed, yea, thats about it. I'll keep waiting/checking as it seems these models are getting back in the distribution pipeline.
