    Rem 870 Trigger Pull

I bought a used Remington 879 Tactial Recon Shotgun. I like it, but man is the trigger pull heavy. Too heavey in fact. I don't own a trigger scale so I can't measure it. How can I cheaply and easily lighten the trigger pull of this thing? The LE Specs for the 870 are approximately 7 to 8 1/2. Mine has to be around 11 or so.

You can buy a lighter trigger/sear spring for pretty cheap. Or you can remove the current spring and compress it with some channel locks to make it a little lighter.
