Folding Stock legal?

Just bought my first shotgun, Remington 870.
I'm interested in replacing the wooden stock with a metal top folding stock, same as the Sarah Connor shotgun from Terminator 2.

Don't know too much about shotguns and their laws and wanted to ask the experts if this mod is legal in CA.

Pump action.
AW regs do not apply.

Folding stock, pistol grip, flash hider... all perfectly legal.

Only CA restrictions for non-semi-auto (bolt-action, lever-action, pump-action, single-shot) shotguns are:
1. Minimum barrel length of 18".
2. Minimum overall length of 26".

Which means as long as your pump-action shotgun has a barrel length of 18" or greater and an overall length of 26" or greater, then it can legally have a folding stock.

Overall length measured with the firearm in the shortest possible firing configuration (stock folded/collapsed).
