Just bought an A300, took it duck hunting last weekend. I have a few questions though:
1. When loading shells through the bottom of the receiver into the magazine, if the shell isn't pushed all the way up (the breech bolt "button" should click), the shell slides down and sits behind the carrier. It doesn't seem to affect the cycling of the gun but I'm wondering if it's a problem like that. It's a pain to open the bolt, catch both rounds and re-chamber/reload.
I realize the answer is to push the shell all the way in. With gloves on it can be challenging.
2. beretta.com says that it's not advised to shoot steel through their FULL chokes. The manual also says that the pattern is adversely affected with a FULL choke. Does anyone have experience with this? Dick's didn't sell the gun with a full choke so I don't have a chance to pattern it myself.
3. I saw a post from last year that recommended the Briley extended choke. I love my PatternMaster on my 870. Any recommendations to get some length on my shot are appreciated.
Thanks.
