Need Help w/ Benelli (supernova) stock

    Hi All,

Just wanted to get some help from fellow benelli owners before I hand this over to a gunsmith.

I tried to change my supernova's shim, but somehow unscrewed the entire bolt/nut/washer out of the receiver. Now said components are stuck deep inside the stock. Trying to unscrew the nut seems simply turn the nut/bolt in place.

Pictures are in this album: https://imgur.com/a/ZwKKO

Any ideas how I can get it out of there?

    Best,

    Idiot Benelli Owner.

What is holding it in place?
Have you tried using a long punch to tap it out?

It seems to be held together by the bolt, a plate, two nuts and the small opening. On the shoulder end of the bolt, we have a nut and plate (picture 3); on the other end of the bolt, we have another nut or washer (picture 2) it's just big enough to prevent me from pulling it the whole thing through the opening.

If that is a comfortech stock, nothing is supposed to be holding it in place by now.

That whole plastic assembly the screw and "washer" are in, comes out. But the screw and washer should have come out easily on their own.

However, if you force it out, you should not be damaging anything (at least in my experience, I'd still advise waiting until a couple more people with experience chime in).

EDIT: nevermind, you seem to have one more nut than I do (on the other side).

Is it just the friction of the chevrons against the bolt that is holding it in?

What if you put vice grips on the nut and try to pull it out?

            Hi All!

            Thanks for everyone's help!

After taking a closer look and realizing that the end of the bolt (image2 and 4) had two flat sides, I was able to finally remove it from the stock by rotating and aligning the flat sides of the bolt to clear the rectangle opening inside the stock (image2).

I updated the imgur album with new images of what was stuck inside the stock and how the recoil bar was suppose to look had it been removed correctly (image 1 vs 5).
