    questions for a benelli M1S90

I have a Benelli M1S90. Do you think that its worth putting on the extended slide release and bolt handle...Has anyone done it, do they hold up...

2nd: I want to shoot slugs in my shotgun..What if any choke should I use in the barrell?

depends on if your purpose of use calls for the extended controls. for messing around it's not critical and it'd be convenient. but for competition use it's functional in that it helps you work the controls more efficiently. i use the bolt handle but not the release...yet haaha.

    for slugs i'd use cylinder

If you're setting up for 3-gun, then the accessories can be a benefit. But before you go and spend your money, It's best to go and see what others are running and ask them if you can handle them. That way you can see if it will work for how you run your shotgun.

For slugs, use CYLINDER bore. If you don't have that one, then IMP. CYL
      Luck favors the prepared.

I have several M1S90 Benellis. I have used them for 3-Gun since the early 90's. One is set up for HD.

If your intended use is home defense, I'd say an extended bolt handle is probably not necessary as the stock one works and is still somewhat easy to use.

For 3 Gun, I'd say it is necessary as an extended handle is faster to rack. Using a heavier than stock extended bolt handle can adversly effect cycling/reliability.(BTW, The only bolt handle I have found to actually stay in the bolt and is as light or lighter than the stock one is the Arredondo.)

For home defense AND 3 Gun, I like an extended bolt release of some kind. It adds speed for 3 Gun and for home defense situations, it is easy to manipulate when you experience loss of fine motor skills under stress.

I use the metal bar from Dave's Metal Works. The drilled/tapped buttons are probably the best.

Adding stuff to Benelli's can effect how they run. You are doing the right thing by thinking it through before you add accessories.

I use an extended bolt release on my Benelli. I tried the Arreneondo and broke it on a barricade the first time I used it. I do use the DMW extended bolt release, big head safety, welded up carrier, and mag extension.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

+1 for Dave's Metal Works...extended bolt release, big head safety, speed bar, welded/modified carrier. He does good trigger jobs as well.

I'm in Castaic. I'm know Ralphs stuff is good but anything can break and hitting a barricade can be tough on stuff. It didn't bother me too much it was my buddy's gun. He was kind enough to loan me after I left mine at home. So I promptly broke it for him. I've seen a few front sights get ripped off hitting barricades too.

If you are going to shoot action matches your stuff is going to get beat on. Don't get me wrong I don't abuse my stuff (just my buddy's) but if wear marks and scratches bother you then this isn't where you want to be.

Currently have a standoff/door breacher extension on my M1S90, but I'm always looking around...saw this choke on a site - "Rifled Choke":

haven't a clue if it's hype or what.
