    Benelli Chokes for M4

I recently picked up an M2 for skeet and it came with all five chokes. But I still like to take out the M4 for laughs and take shots at clays. I'm hoping someone knows why it's not recommended to use the crio chokes in a non crio barrel. I can see that they are not flush fit but they act like and extended choke. The threading is the same the length to choke that fits in the barrel is the same. Other then benelli making two different product line so that you need to buy both is there a reason I can't just run the crio chokes?

Whats wrong with the M4 choke tube?, its CYL or IC , its GTO for Skeet
Just shoot the M4 with its original choke..... a different choke tube won't help much as you will find out

Benelli M4s ship with a modified choke, or at least mine did.

Shoot with the MOD choke....OP just wants to try for the fun of it.

No argument there. Modified isn't that constricted.

Back to the OP's question though, I wouldn't shoot a shotgun with an other-than-recommended choke just because you're able to thread it into the barrel. There are more dimensions to be concerned about than length and thread pitch.
