Escort 20ga semi auto barrel chop

[jinggoyd1967]

I just picked up a Legacy Escort 20ga semi auto youth model from an auction site. It comes with a 22 in barell but I was hoping for a shorter barrel.
Legacy Sport says that a replacement barrel is not available in any length, so I have to make sure that this gun will function if I hack the barrel down to 18-20in.
Any suggestions or comments?

We built a 20" demo gun out of a 28" Escort. Similar idea to what you are doing, but ours is a 12ga. We could do the same thing with a 20ga and I'd bet that the 20ga Rem870 mag extension would fit the Escort with a little modification

Thanks for the tip King Joey
