Epoxy/Glue marks on Mossberg 590A1 - is this normal?

I received my Mossberg 590A1 from gunbuyer.com and noticed the white glue/epoxy marks where the barrel meets the tube. Is this normal? The marks aren't visible on Gunbuyer's website. Anyway to hide them/cover them up? It's glaringly bright and ugly..

It's not glue, it's the solder from brazing the parts to the barrel. It's normal and some finishes will make it stand out more than others.

Yep it is normal. I said this in another thread, Mossberg builds tools not works of art. Haha!

I don't know what finish is on your shotgun... but the silver solder is very visible.

        Get this

        Done

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Now you need to buy $700 worth of aftermarket furniture to make it tacticool , than you are GTG but not one round before

Its very much normal. My 835 has the same type of barrel/tube setup. Get a couple boxes of buckshot and shoot your shotgun.

It's defective. Send it to me for proper disposal.

Brownells may have something designed to color silver solder black.
