Another Skeet Clinic in the books!
Once again the clinic was loads of fun, very informative, and absolutely worth the time and money. This days clinic had 7 attendees with the majority of the group being past attendees.
With that said we went over the introductory topics including: gun safety, mounting, stance & turning, and how to utilize the lead meter. Once that was over we headed right to station 1 to start breaking clays!
Don and Richard's teaching was excellent as usual and the experienced shooters were able to fine-tune their technique, and the new-to-clinic shooters picked up the techniques easily.
All the shooters shot superbly; so much so that we were able to tackle multiple stations this clinic AND end before noon!
We covered (in this order):
Stations 1-3 Low
Stations 7,6,5 High
Station 7 Low
Station 7 Doubles
Station 8 High, then Low
Station 1 High
Post clinic, as usual, Don and Richard hung around to answer our questions about picking out a first shotgun, gun stock modifications and gun fit, and details about shooting with NSSA.
Overall everyone had fun, learned a lot in a short session, made new friends, and got really sweaty. I definitely recommend checking the clinic out whether you are a experienced shooter or brand new to shotguns. Everyone is welcome and I have seen single shooters come out, couples, families of three or four, and even a large group come out for a birthday!
