Big 5 puts shotguns on sale on a regular basis. The ads and stock are generally 12 gauge, but they'll order you a 20 gauge if it's available in the same model.

They typically do the Mossberg 500 2 barrel combo for $219, but they also have the 870 on a regular basis for about $260 or so.

Alternately, if you're in the San Jose area, I think I saw a use 870 in 20 gauge at Kerley's in Cupertino the other week. Don't remember how much it was, though.

Remington 870 Express, 3" chamber, wood stock, 28" vent rib barrel with modified choke tube, 12 or 20 gauge, $270

Mossberg Security, 3" chamber, 8 shot tube, synthetic stock, 20" barrel, 12 gauge - $220 (I don't think this one's available in 20 gauge)
