recommend takedown case for Rem-1100

Looking for a takedown case for Rem-1100 with 30" barrel. Any recommendations besides a green Remington case?

I have the hard sided SKB and am happy with it; can't vouch for the others.

My autos are left assembled in long cases. Is this for travel where a long case won't work well? If travel, what kind of travel (auto, air, etc.)?

I'd like a shorter case, for when I take my car; it has a smallish trunk.

When I take the truck, I use a long case.

I never found a take down case for my 1100 that worked. Since the mag tube extends to within a few inches of the muzzle, you don't really save much by taking the barrel off.

That's made for 30'ish" barrel. Receiver will be too long.

Bill, thank for your post. Here are the following specs to your inquiry: Barrel Length 31, Receiver length/stock 19, padded barrel sleeve width 4", inner stock/receiver sleeve 8' and it is made for over and under.

You can save maybe a foot depending. That's about it.
