    Shotgun for my wife

So i asked my wife what she would like for Mothers day and to my surprise she said that she wanted a shotgun. So she could go trap shooting with me

She does not want a very expensive shotgun but does want to pick it herself.

What do you guys think i should have her look at? She wants it to be light but also a soft shooter in a 12 Ga.

i've heard very good things about the "syren" line of shotguns from Caesear Guerini. Designed for women right from the start.

True, but yikes, $6500 for a first shotgun. Must like her a lot.

If she wanted something with that price i would buy it for her. knowing my wife the most she would want to spend on it would be 1k, at that most. I think i can convince her to go up to $1,500 max.

It's not something we are going to be doing every weekend , maybe once every other month. So i think we can get by with something not to crazy.

P.S. light and soft shooter in a 12 GA don't go together.

While not an O/U the Benelli Ethos 12ga shoots like a regular 20ga.

I heard the A300 is a good first time shotgun for a woman. Lol

Yes i am aware of that it was wishful thinking on my behalf. She has to issues shooting my O/U 12GA. Taking her to Pacific Sporting Arms this week for her to have a look a few choices.

T Fred, when you go to PSA, look up Jordon. He'll point you two in the right direction.

A light weight inertia 12 gauge recoiling like a 20 gauge? Get real.

My father has one and I've shot it a bit, so yes I'm speaking from experience.

The Ethos is NOT a soft recoiling shotgun, it is one of the harsher ones out there. There are numerous shotguns that will have less felt recoil if the fit is good.

That is a fact. Wouldn't be my first choice.

I went with a browning citori in 20 gauge and it has been a dream.
