Stock, comb and rib question

I've been using a Benelli Supersport 12 gauge for trap shooting for over 3 years and I've been thinking of switching to a O/U. Most O/U I've encountered so far are configured in similar manner to my Supersport but I have come across some with higher rib and their comb being parallel to the rib.

An example would be this Beretta 692 Xtrap:


What are the advantages of a shotgun with this configuration? It is pretty good looking and I'm thinking of getting one. My main concern is that it is quite different from how my Supersport is setup. Will I have to relearn my gun mount for a gun like this?

There will be a small learning curve, but for the most part you should be okay, especially with all of the adjustability on the 692. It will probably be a little heavier as well, maybe even barrel heavy if you're going with 34" ers.
And yep, that is one nice looking shotgun right there.
I have one of it's immediate predecessors, 682 Skeet. Low rib of course, same adjustable stock though.
No one has one that you can try out?

The high rib allows a more vertical heads up shooting position. I like it, but try a few guns before you buy and find what seems to be the most comfortable for you.
