Shotgun Ammo Question

Ca I use steel shot in my old 12 ga. A-5 Browing and 20 ga. J.C. Higgins Bolt Action and the 20 ga. Mossberg bolt action. I just dont ant to ruin the barrel if I cant. Also can I shoot sabot slugs out of them.

First of all what is the choke on these barrels? If they have a full choke I would not do it.

Shooting steel in an old A-5 will damage the barrel. Go to Browning website for more info...as fas as the rest...???

I looked at my barrel and it says full steel barrel so does that make it safe? I have been shooting lead but noticed that steel is cheaper where I am at so wanted to try it since it is lead free.

I would not do the slugs get a different barrel from Mossberg and Browning or a retailer that is made to shoot a slug through it they are a bit more, but you wont risk ruining you barrel. Also be sure you don't have a choke on your barrel or you can ruin you day.
