shell holder problem

Have any of you guys have noticed shaking in your shell holders?

Just watched this video while checking my shell holder on my 590; noticed a slight wobble....

I used the simpler/cheaper (though a bit of a PITA in practice) elastic holder on the buttstock specifically because I was worried about the more popular rigid holders marring the gun.

I was the first custom builder to feature the Mesa Tactical Shell holders year ago and I use them and have never had the issue this guy is claiming exist. If this was an issue then it would be with every receiver mounted shell holder including tac stars from back in the old days and we had them on our Department shotguns for 20 plus years and no such issues occurred. I have sold or installed a few thousand of Mesa Tactical Shell holders with out issue nor customer complaint. Of course mine are on 870's and they are hard steel receivers and not aluminum like the Mossberg. That may be the difference, however this guy is claiming his damaged his 870. I would love to see that 870 to verify any damage and if I was Mitch I would contact the guy and ask to examine it and challenge him that if there is no damage he will have to shave his mustache off on youtube. Also in reading the comments below this youtube video one bright guy recommend using Red Loc-tite on the screws and that shows you the level of intelligence that exist on YouTube right there.

jdewolf thanks for the smile. Good point though because if you clean the dang thing it is just going to get filthy again. But seriously, when I become president my first executive order will be to make loc-tite a controlled substance and the second will be that a person can't own a gun and Dremil tool at the same time. I will call it the "Firearms Preservation Act".
