    Question about stocks

I've seen many people here like the knoxx spec ops stock. But I am interested in knox comp stock and read many good reviews, any reason why no one else likes them ?

I have the CompStock on my wifes 500 and that thing works great, plus I like the look better then the SpecOps Stock.
It didn't change the length of pull any and the comb stayed the same. I think most people buy the SPecops because they like that Tacticool look with the added benefit of felt recoil reduction. IMHO, I perfer the look of Mesa Tactical adaptor and Endine stock, but it's like 2 to 3 times as much compared to Knoxx's...

But if your looking for the conventional look and feel plus the recoil reduction.... The CompStock is the way to go

thanks for the reply, I agree about the tacticool look on some weapons its ok but not on shotguns. I like the fact that shotguns are plain and simple I can imagine if i had this slung on my back, i'd hate the pistol grip jabbing me in the side.

Can you estimate how much your perceived recoil is reduced with the stock on compared to the regular one?

          Knoxx op

Since the stock its adjustable, its it considered an AW if you had it on a semi auto SG because of the pistol grip? Whats the difference between telescoping and adjustable (I assume they are the same).

On a pump, not an issue.

Pretty sure he's talking about a Moss. 500, which is a pump.

And the CompStock is not adjustable... It's a conventional stock that has a recoil reducer in it. take a look at the pic I posted, that's the CompStock

The SpecOps is the adjustable one and not what the OP was asking about, But on a semi you cannot have both a pistol grip AND a colapsable/adjustable stock... only one or the other, not both

So, how much less recoil do you feel when you shoot with the compstock compared to the factory one?

I'd have to agree with the 50% reduction in felt recoil. The difference is how the stock absorbs the recoil. The comp stock colapses on itself like a shock absorber, so both you hands move with the whole gun. but the Cop Stock, Breachers Grip, and Spec Ops stock all have the receiver slide ontop of the pistol grip, so your trigger hand never moves...

But to be honest with the movement the Compstock allows I never notice it, just don't put your face so close to your thumb. You might end up hitting yourself in the face
