I shot some Fiocchi 7/8oz shells today, man they were soft.

    Anybody using them?

Yep, they are great shells. In a semi-auto, they feel like 28 ga in an o/u.

Just as reloads, but probably would buy if I saw any.

I reload them - Gun Club hulls, CB wads, 700x.

Call Phillips Wholesale in Covina (626) 331-3022

I think they carry a 7/8 ounce load and the brand is Clever.
A guy in my club shoots them and likes them.

They are only open Thursday through Saturday
I have no affiliation with them (other than being a customer)

7/8 oz is good enough for the Olympic skeet shooters, (actually 24 gr, ~7/8 oz)

I shoot 7/8 for skeet, but run the reloads a bit faster at 1300 fps.
Olympic Skeet and Bunker Trap are only allowed 7/8 oz.
If you try some of the faster loads you will be surprised how quick they get to the target.
Second shot on bunker trap can be a long way out and the 7/8 still breaks em.
              No fear just do it.

Not only 7/8 oz loads but even as low as 3/4 oz in the 12.. I think I was using Silver AA wads, Winchester AA old style hulls, Win 209, and something like 18 gr of Red Dot.. Just enough punch to cycle my Browning Gold..

7/8 work much better than 3/4 for me.

I use them for skeet in a pump gun. They won't reliably cycle a semi for me.

Many years ago I had a 8 lb can of Bullseye and was looking for a way to shoot it up, saw a article in American Rifleman about using it for both 1 oz & 7/8 oz loads was great broke many clays with it BUT it was dirty both loads did cycle my semi auto.

Currently there are several powders available that are targeted for 7/8 oz loads, such as Alliant Extra-Lite, Nobel Sport Vectan A24, etc. They burn very clean with the right load.

I use the Fiocchi 7/8oz training loads with #8s for doves in my old Brit hammer gun. Per Fiocchi, chamber pressure on my batch is only 6600psi. They work just fine.
