Another number to pay attention to on the box is the shot ounces (denoted as just ounces or oz.) on the box. This number refers to the amount of shot in the load. The basic load weight is usually somewhere around one ounce, but there are lighter and heavier shot loads available.

Even if you say to duplicate Tony's load use Spolar bushing #XYZ, it still doesn't matter as Spolar uses the same bushings as Hornady, Ponsness Warren, and RCBS. In fact I don't recommend just going by bushing alone as powder density can vary from lot to lot.

but you should still get a spolar because they are awesome
      ^^^^what he said.

Most all make really nice shells and they can all duplicate any recipe.

I'm using Mec 9000 myself. 1/3 the price new and good used ones available. I think I'd see if I like reloading before dumping $2k. A Usd Mec Sizemaster could help determine if reloading is for you. There's quite a bit of stuff to collect and learn before going full hog and most transfers to volume reloading on a progressive sans the machine itself.

On 2nd thought, don't. I like picking up your hulls after you and your wife shoot.

As for the light/fast. It saves money on shot if reloading. Hard to save much on 12g target loads, but shot is the most expensive component. Many find that the extra light payloads need more speed to fill out the pattern. Myself I use 7/8 oz for skeet, 1 oz for trap and 1-1/8oz for handicap and small birds. All in the 1200-1250 range. FWW, they're all color coded by hull, so I know the application at a glance.
