I won a scattergun...

Bought a raffle ticket at a gun show , no intention of winning just for support.
Won a shotgun.
1st firearm I have even won despite having friends who have won even multiple times ....... but in all honesty ... I rarely buy gun tickets......

It's a plastic stock Rossi 20ga single shot.

No idea what to do with it , but since I won it .... will be keeping it for some time.

Need to make arrangements to go pick it up.

No real comments/questions. It is what it is , just wanted to share

If the rossi accepts the interchangeable barrels from rossi look into those. Not the sub cal adaters above. Much more accurate.

Well thanks. I made plans to pick it up.
little over 4 hours round trip.......... but going to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
I got an assortment of switch barrel NEF's so no niche to fill there.
My buddy rabbit hunts with a double barrel 20 that only goes off 1/2 the time , maybe he could use it

OP, I have one of those. It's a great little lightweight hiking gun. Killed my first dove with it. Fun to hunt rabbits with too.

For small game I've come around more to using on of my 20's
Having an extra 20ga around probably isn't a bad idea ..... keep in mind , I am downsizing ............ so this doesn't help matters but far be it for me to look a gift horse in the mouth.
I may part with a NEF but I hate to do that.
Edit to say that the single shots I was never great at tracking flying targets with

I won a scattergun...

if o.p. has a nef then he already knows the goodness of singles. add a buttstock shell holder, recoil pad and sling. securely stash it gym-bagged in a car trunk, or at an oft-visited relative's or close friend's place (with their ok), with a few survival preps. you are now ahead of 90% of the masses in a catastrophe.

and keep the nef, they are drying up!
